Mike Florio, who works for NBC, claims that Aaron Rodgers will only go on shows where people agree with him.
“I think that Aaron Rodgers and I have some things in common,” Florio told Dan Patrick recently. “I’d like to think I could maybe get through to him, and we could have a real debate. But that’s the thing with him, he never wants to talk to anybody who might disagree with him. He goes on all these safe space podcasts and says all this crazy stuff, and the hosts never say, ‘Dude, you’ve got to maybe try decaf or read a different book.’ Everything isn’t a conspiracy. I love a good conspiracy theory. I love one. Not a thousand of them. It can’t be that everything is a product of some massive government conspiracy.”
First of all, Rodgers and Florio probably have very little in common.
Secondly, Rodgers believes in “a thousand” conspiracy theories? That seems a little high.
And what exactly would be considered a “conspiracy theory” these days, not agreeing with the one accepted narrative that seemingly comes with every issue?
And how does Florio know that Rodgers has turned down a debate opportunity with somebody with a different viewpoint? Have those opportunities been presented to him?
Also, does Florio think his bosses would invite Rodgers on any NBC show, including his, if they thought the Jets’ QB might bash Big Pharma, which spends a lot of money on advertising?
Let’s not assume Rodgers won’t go on shows where people disagree with him. That is jumping to a conclusion.
Perhaps there aren’t a lot of invites.
