Ian Rapoport had another major story on the Jets’ QB situation.
“NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday on “NFL Total Access” that offensive coordinator Marty Mornhenwig will unequivocally side with Geno Smith if he has a vote in the New York Jets‘ starting quarterback competition,” wrote Dan Hanzus for NFL.com. “Mornhenwig is a big fan of Smith’s potential and believes he’s the better option, whether Sanchez is healthy or not.”
It’s very bad for the Jets; organization that this stuff is leaking out.
Now if Sanchez starts, he’s going to think Marty doesn’t want him.
All I know is Marty better get this QB situation right, because if he doesn’t, his chances of being an NFL head coach again, will suffer a great deal.
Mornhinweg needs to get this QB situation right and he needs the Jets offense to be successful for his NFL head coaching dreams to reach fruition for a second time.
