Idzik gets it Dan Leberfeld

Jets GM John Idzik was asked about when QB Geno Smith will become the starter.

“We don’t feel like there’s any pressure to get him in there right away, especially with the cast of quarterbacks we have in the competition,” Idzik said on SiriusXM.

Smith is a raw project, with a ton of natural ability, who needs to be groomed.

To throw him into the starting lineup immediately would likely be big mistake.
