John Idzik has been criticized by some for his handling of the Jets’ quarterback situation this off-season.
I’m reserving judgement until we see how it works out during the season. Right now, the Jets are 0-0.
But to his credit, Idzik did the right thing staying away from Kevin Kolb after the Arizona Cardinals released him.
Kolb was just put on injured reserve by the Buffalo Bills due to a concussion. His career is likely over.
You have to feel bad for Kolb – he’s a physical wreck at this point. And when I watched him play this summer, he looked very skittish, sometimes responding to pass rush pressure that wasn’t even there.
Idzik did the right thing taking a pass on Kolb.
