WFAN’s Mike Francesa asked Jets GM John Idzik how he’s dealing with inheriting a head coach, instead of getting to hire his own.
“Rex is an accomplished, experienced coach … I think it’s a great advantage to have a head coach who is ingrained in your roster, (who can) bring me up to speed very quickly,” Idzik said. “And plus, we have similar backgrounds. We’re cut from a similar cloth … I viewed Rex as an asset coming into this job.”
