There was a headline in USA Today this week – “Joe Namath bemoans ‘clumsy’ relationship with Jets.”
Here is what I don’t get.
If he bemoans the bad relationship, why does he keep ripping them?
Namath makes some good points about the Jets, and just as many bad ones. He’s batting about .500.
For him to say that Rex Ryan “misled” the fans with his predictions in the past, quite honestly is insulting to the fans.
Most fans aren’t stupid. They see the talent a team has entering any given season. Any fan that falls for Rex’s grandiose predictions, is a little naive.
Rex’s predictions weren’t deception as Namath claims, but just misguided talk from a coach who is dire need of media training.
