USA Today sportswriter Mike Garofolo had a lengthy feature in today’s paper on Jets GM John Idzik.
Garafolo quoted a lot of people.
But I think this quote is the most important one.
“He’s going to do what’s best for the club, period,” said Seahawks GM John Schneider, who advocated for Idzik during the Jets’ hiring process. “He’s not going to get bullied or pushed around, whether it’s media influence or whatever.”
And that is the best way to run a team.
Make moves in the best interest of your team, not to curry favor with the media or public.
