Denver – The Jets suffered some offensive line injuries today in their win over Denver, including to promising right guard Joe Tippmann.
Right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker suffered a calf injury, left tackle Mekhi Becton came out briefly due to a knee, but came back, and late in the game, Tippmann suffered a leg injury of some kind. It looked like a left knee issue.
While it remains to be seen if Vera-Tucker will miss any time, and Becton returned to the game, so he is good, but what about Tippmann, who got hurt late in the game?
In the locker room after the game, Tippmann said he was “good” and seemed to be walking around fine.
So the Jets dodged one here with Tippmann. It didn’t look good initially when he went down.
Tippmann looks like a second-round steal. He was a big reason why there were so many large holes for Jets running backs up the middle in Denver.
