Cortland – I asked Mike Tannenbaum if the Revis’ camp needs to back off the Nnamdi Asomugha deal in order for a contract to be worked out.
“There’s a lot of different ways to get to a landing spot that both
sides could feel good about,” Tannenbaum said. “I think our organization’s track record is (that) we can be flexible and creative when necessary. Any one deal is not about one contract. Obviously, the contract you’re referencing (Asomugha) is a significant issue in our deal, but it’s certainly not the only one.”
To say the Asomugha deal is a “significant issue” in the Revis’ talks might be an understatement. The Oakland Raider cornerback makes around $16 millino this year and Revis wants to beat that number.
