The Jets could use another cornerback.
And a player from the UFL is on their radar.
Las Vegas Locomotive cornerback Gerard Lawson, who had a stint with the Cleveland Browns, is a player the Jets like a great deal.
But in order to sign the former Oregon State standout, the Jets would have to play the UFL’s $150,000 release fee. And don’t seem willing to do it.
“If it wasn for this dumb ass 150k release fee from the UFL I would be a JET right now,” Lawson tweeted.
