A few weeks ago, the Jets denied Dennis Thurman the right to interview for the Oakland Raiders’ defensive coordinator job.
This week, they didn’t allow Tennessee permission to interview offensive line coach Bill Callahan for the Titans’ offensive coordinator job.
While it’s probably a little unfair to put up these kind of roadblocks, the Jets probably did both these men a favor.
Oakland and Tennessee are two of the most dysfunctional, unstable places to work, and there is a good chance the story/stories wouldn’t have ended well, if they went to either place.
