Whether the Jets start Geno Smith, Mark Sanchez or another player who is their best game manager/reader of defenses, there are seven games on their schedule that should qualify as “winnable” for Gang Green.
They are – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills (twice), Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders.
If Marty Morhinweg can manage the quarterback position with good game plans and astute play-calling, and the Jets can get solid defense and special teams, these are all winnable games for the Jets, no matter who their quarterback might be.
I’m not saying they can’t win other games, but these seven games are contests they should be able to find a way to win.
