Sleeper at defensive end for Jets

The Jets seem to have more depth at defensive end this year, with the returns of Carl Lawson and Vinny Curry, and the addition of players like Jermaine Johnson and Jacob Martin.

So they are going to have some tough cuts to make at the end of camp.

And one tough decision could be involving a guy nobody is really talking about, Bradlee Anae, a fifth-round pick of Dallas in the 2020 draft.

The Jet signed him to a reserve/future contract after last season.

While he struggled to find a niche with the Cowboys, there is no shortage of talent with this player. As a senior at Utah, he had 13 sacks, which is pretty impressive, especially in a conference like the Pac-12, which generally has good offensive tackles.

At training camp today, he had a standout play, forcing a fumble with a big hit on running back Bam Knight.

Look, Anae still has a lot to prove this summer, but he’s another example of the Jets having much more talent at defensive end than last year.
