How can you be considered an elite D when you’re 31st vs. run?

If the Jets want to be considered an elite defense, they must play the run better.

One reason they lost to the Miami Dolphins on Friday was their run defense, which gave up 167 yards.

Currently, the Jets are the NFL’s 31st-ranked rush defense, giving up an average of 140.3 yards per game.

And while the Jets’ defense deserves a lot of credit for carrying this team most of the season, their run defense certainly leaves you wanting more.
