The Jets did the right thing by retaining Rex Ryan.
They also did the right thing keeping war-hero Ben Kotwica to handle the special teams. He was Mike Westhoff’s long-time assistant.
Continuity is king in the NFL, and the Jets will have that on defense and special teams.
If they hire a top-shelf offensive coordinator, and get a strong GM who will make the roster decisions, and not appease Rex Ryan when it comes personnel moves, this can work.
This seems like a good plan.
