The Jets signed former Oregon nose tackle Simi Toeaina.
Toeaina participated at the Jets rookie minicamp as a tryout player, but wasn’t signed. His brother Albert, a former Tennessee offensive tackle, also tried out at that camp.
The Jets told Simi to stay in shape and they would be in touch with him.
And brought him back this week.
He’s a 6-2, 305-pounder from Antioch, California. He went undrafted in the 2010 selection meetings.
