The contract of Jets first round pick Kyle Wilson has been rejected by the league office. The announcement was made by NFP’s Aaron Wilson.
“The NFL has disapproved the recently-signed contracts for first-round draft picks Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy and Kyle Wilson, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation,” wrote Aaron Wilson. “This doesn’t invalidate the entire negotiation, but is typically an indicator that some contract language needs to be tweaked before it’s processed by the league office. While those adjustments are made between the teams and the players’ representatives, the player is still allowed to continue practicing.”
