Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports wrote a story yesterday on the Jets’ potential coach search.
“To this point the franchise is not using a headhunter or search firm — Johnson has in the past — and while that could change at some point, for now it has been Johnson, Idzik and team president Neil Glat who have been handling the behind-the-scenes stuff,” wrote La Canfora.
You can’t leave out Johnson’s right-hand man, Ira Akselrad, who is also very involved in the process. Akselrad has enormous power in the Jets’ organization.
