Jets tailback LaDainian Tomlinson has played in a lot of big games in his NFL career.
And he’s about to play in another one – Pats-Jets on Sunday Night Football.
“It’s a big game,” Tomlinson said. “The division is on the line. We both have the same record, both of us have the same amount of losses in the division. They beat us the first time and they did what they were supposed to. They took care of their home field, and we’ve got to do the same.
“We started to take some steps that game (the first meeting). Obviously, we weren’t playing like we are now. We were still finding our identity. But for us, we have really put it together as far as playing good football the whole game.
“I think Mark (Sanchez) is just playing so well in the red zone. His decision making down in the red zone, he knows how critical it is to come away with points, particularly touchdowns. And he’s playing great down in the red zone. We feel like we’re running the ball good down in the red zone, so we’re able to stay balanced. Then when you add the weapons we have down there, guys like Plaxico (Burress), where you can throw the ball up to him and he comes down with it most of the time, it helps us a bunch.”
