New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn was asked today about QB Aaron Rodgers future.
“This thing is not about Aaron Rodgers, folks – this is about the roster,” Glenn said. “We plan on building the best roster that we can. So, whatever that may be — guard, tackle, defensive tackle — that’s what we’re evaluating.”
QB is not like every other position. It’s a QB-driven league.
We all saw that in the epic Kansas City win over Buffalo in the AFC Championship Game – those teams were there because of their quarterbacks, and those two guys battled it out until the end, playing on a very high level.
If you don’t have a true answer under center in the NFL, you are screwed.
There is no other way to put it.
Rodgers finished the 2024-25 season with 28 touchdown passes, the same as Allen.
And if you don’t have a capable cat under center, where are you going in the league? Seriously.
“If you’ve got a quarterback, you’ve got a chance,” former Jets HC Herman Edwards once said. “If you don’t have a QB, that field is 150 yards long.”
