Mark Sanchez has a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder. The announcement was made by Fox’s Jay Glazer and ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Most labrum tears don’t require surgery.
Glazer also announced that Sanchez dislocated his shoulder when the injury occurred against the Giants in the preseason.
A torn labrum with a dislocation is called a “Bankart Tear,” and when that happens, you “are more susceptible to future dislocations.,” according to orthopeadics.com.
