On the Jets’ flagship radio station, Joe Namath, continues to assault his former team.
“I do not agree with [the Tebow trade],” Namath said on 1050-AM, the Jets radio partner. “I can’t agree with it. I just think it’s a publicity stunt. I really think it’s wrong. I can’t go for it.”
You have to give the Jets credit for believing in The First Amendment. Not many teams, on any sport, on any level (high school, college or pro), would put up with this on their flagship station. Remember, Namath trashes the Jets with regularity on the team’s flagship station.
