New York Times calls Tebow Jets “savior” Dan Leberfeld

“Tim Tebow, the Jets’ hoped-for savior, was in Georgetown for the Easter service of the Celebration megachurch,” wrote Salim Algar in Monday’s New York Times.

How is a backup quarterback, brought in to run the Wildcat offense on occasion, a “savior?”

Clearly the Times’ writer was attempting to make a religious pun, but anybody claiming that Tebow is a “savior” for the Jets, is reaching.
