It’s not a tough decision at all. It’s time for the Jets to move on.
Deal with the $6 million salary cap hit. Don’t let that impact the decision-making process.
Revis doesn’t have the requisite quick-twitch and long speed needed to be a starting NFL cornerback anymore.
And the idea of moving him to safety doesn’t make much sense since his tackling skills have deteriorated this year. How are you going to be an effective NFL safety if you don’t want to “stick your face in the fan.”
So no, it’s not a tough decision.
Move on.
