Look-it, the chances of Bart Scott being cut are a major longshot.
That would leave $4,500,000 of dead money next year for the Jets the way his contract is structured.
And he’s still a good player and can help the Jets next year.
But notice I said “good.” He’s a good player, not a great one.
He’s already made a fortune over the first two years of his deal. Is he overpaid for his skillset, absolutely, but God bless him for making that kind of money after overcoming so much in his life.
But if he really wants to help the Jets win a championship, he should re-work his contract.
They have a lot of key players to re-sign.
