Santonio Holmes is one strike away from being suspended for a year by the NFL, but he has a problem with the Jets tendering him.
“I want a contract, flat out,” Holmes told ESPN New York and the New York Daily News. “If I sign a contract, it will be for multiple years. It won’t be for one year. I played five years to wait for my sixth year to come up. I don’t want to play for a one-year deal. I wouldn’t do it.”
If he fails one more drug test, he won’t be doing anything for a while.
Pittsburgh was fed up with him, and traded him to the Jets last off-season for a fifth round pick.
Now he’s threatening the Jets.
Bizarre.
