Mike Lupica wrote a column for the New York Daily News yesterday claiming the Jets have a chance to own New York with the Giants struggling.
Headline – “With NY Giants struggling, it’s an opportunity for NY Jets to own city.”
Subhead – “Eli Manning, Tom Coughlin and the Giants have fallen hard. And a door has swung wide open for the Jets in the process.”
Who cares?
The Jets’ goal should be to win the AFC East, and then a Super Bowl.
What the heck does owning New York get them?
Maybe more ticket and ad sales, but from a football standpoint, it means nothing.
