A name you hear a lot attached to the Jets in mock drafts is Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.
He is on the cover of the draft preview issue of Jets Confidential Magazine, available now.
You often hear a comparison between the Napa native and a current tight end who doesn’t play far from wine country, with the San Francisco 49ers.
“He has some similarities if we are comparing to (George) Kittle,” said former NFL GM Thomas Dimitroff of Sumer Sports.
Bowers was a consistent producer for the Bulldogs helping them win two of the last three college football national championships by leading the team in receiving the last three seasons.
“This guy is a difference-maker,” Dimitroff said.
He is also a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
“I think there are a lot of people sitting on the edge of their seats hoping he doesn’t come to their division and have to deal with his abilities across the board,” Dimitroff said.
