Something Douglas could do to help fix this Jets issue

QB Aaron Rodgers potentially returning late in the year could certainly help the Jets, but he’s not going to play on Sunday against Atlanta.

So he can’t do much to help them beat the Falcons.

One thing that could help them beat Atlanta is stopping the run better. The Jets are currently ranked 31st in the NFL against the run, and are coming off a game that Miami’s rushing attack got the better of them.

One problem they are having against the run are undersized defensive linemen getting engulfed by much bigger offensive linemen.

So adding a little size up front, perhaps could help the Jets shore up their run defense a little.

They have three defensive tackles on their practice squad – Marquiss Spencer, Perrion Winfrey and Jalyn Holmes, who are all bigger body guys, all in the 6-4, 290-pound area.

So maybe the Jets should promote one or two of them to give them a little more girth up front.
