Mike Pettine likes the fact that NT Daniel Muir, 29, has game experience.
“Here’s a guy that’s played,” Pettine said. “There’s no substitute for real game experience. I think it was great that we could add somebody like that to compliment the youthfulness of Damon (Harrison).”
But even with Muir’s game experience during his myriad stops in the NFL, the Jets won’t throw the entire playbook at him.
“We’ll keep his menu pretty simple,” Pettine said. “The guys that are in there with him will know, ‘Hey this is a guy new to the system, so we’ll have to help him out.’ Be a thinking buddy.”
