Cortland – Towards the end of practice, Greg McElroy went 4-4 leading the backup offense down the field for a touchdown.
He had completions to WR Ben Obomanu, two passes to WR K.J. Stroud and wraps things up with a flip up the middle that RB John Griffin took in for a touchdown.
It was a crisp, efficient drive.
Since Rex Ryan didn’t think he was good enough to even be in the competition this summer, the Jets should probably attempt to trade McElroy to some quarterback-needy team.
He’s the consummate game-manager, a very good fit for some team playing the West Coast offense.
Perhaps they can get a draft pick in return.
Ryan clearly doesn’t like the guy, so why not let him have a change of scenery?
