New York Post headline – “Bowles betrays fans and Jets in utterly damning QB decision.”
This is in reference to Jets coach Todd Bowles decision to start Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback against New England instead of Bryce Petty.
Bowles feels that Fitzpatrick gives the Jets the best chance to win at the quarterback position.
“We try to get to four wins,” Bowles said. “If we get four, we’ll try to get five and we’ll just go from there. You always play to win the game.”
So in the eyes of the Post, Bowles is “betraying the fans” by trying to win games.
