Florham Park – When a reporter said to John Idzik that Rex Ryan is a shell of his former self with the media, the GM responded, “Is that right?”
In other words, it was news to him, or the GM really doesn’t care.
Idzik, and others around the Jets, will tell you that Ryan hasn’t changed at all behind the scenes and at practice. That he’s the same guy.
As for him becoming boring with the press, that isn’t something team officials seem to really care about.
As long as he hasn’t changed with the players, coaches, front office, that is clearly the most important thing.
