Pittsburgh – CBS NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora reported today that Ryan Fitzpatrick is playing for his job in Pittsburgh.
“Jets coaches have become increasingly frustrated with Fitzpatrick’s play after he missed all of the spring offseason work mired in an ugly contract stalemate,” wrote La Canfora. “Through their review of tape, they believe the team has played generally well enough to win three of their four games, but the Jets have only one win due primarily to the performance of the quarterback.”
Perhaps the source(s) hadn’t reviewed the film of the pass defense when they made that assessment.
