Darrelle Revis returned to the Jets off-season program on Tuesday. The announcement was made by Manish Mehta of the Daily News.
“Darrelle Revis returned to the Jets’ Organized Team Activities today after skipping last Thursday’s session due to stalled contract negotiations. The Daily News first reported this morning that the Pro Bowler returned to the team’s Florham Park facility even though an agreement on a new deal hasn’t been reached yet,” wrote Mehta.
If Revis doesn’t back off his demand to make more than Raider cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha ($16 million per), this could turn into a protracted contract dispute. The Raiders probably shouldn’t be the benchmark for anything these days.
In a bad economy, and with no CBA, $12, 13 million per year is more than fair. Don’t you think?
