In 2006, linebacker Ricky Foley signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens.
So Rex Ryan knows the newest Jet, claimed off waivers this week.
But the Ontario-native clearly wasn’t ready for the NFL back then.
“In Baltimore I didn’t know what it meant or took to be a professional, how to study the playbook, watch film and practice like a pro,” Foley said. “That’s all behind me now. I just want to line up and get to the quarterback faster than anyone else.”
After that brief stint in Baltimore, Foley went back to Canada, and turned into a CFL star. He signed with Seattle this off-season, but was waived on Monday.
