Rex Ryan is thrilled with this in-season pickup.
“(He’s) been impressive,” Ryan said. “(He’s an) impressive young man. (We were) very familiar with him when he played with Buffalo and what he brought to the table there. (We) knew how competitive he was. Good blocker, red zone threat. Haven’t seen the red zone threat yet, but that doesn’t mean that’s not going to happen, just by size alone.
“I like him. He competes his tail off. The fact that he’s able to pick up an offense in the short amount of time that he did, very impressive. It tells you about him. It tells you about the person. He put it upon himself to really learn it and I think that’s really, really impressive. I know he gained all the respect in the world from all his teammates.”
