Early in camp, it looked like Ryan Quigley could beat out Robert Malone for the Jets’ punting job.
Quigley was killing the ball the first couple of weeks in Cortland.
But then late in camp, after sitting out a few days with an injury, Malone came on strong.
And Quigley took a step back the last couple of weeks – in practice and in the Giants’ game.
Malone won this competition fair-and-square.
