Injured Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has decided to have surgery for a torn labrum. The announcement was made by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Sanchez injured his shoulder in the fourth quarter of the Jets’ third preseason game against the Football Giants.
He was put on short-term injured reserve a couple of weeks ago, which meant he could return in eight weeks.
But he probably saw how committed John Idzik is to playing and developing Geno Smith on the job, that he probably figured why rush to come back?
