Cortland – Santonio Holmes (foot) was asked twice, by a pair of dogged newspaper reporters, for his reaction to the ESPN report he might be “milking his injury.”
He twice replied, “No comment.”
That is a somewhat strange answer to that question.
Why wouldn’t he shoot the story down, and say, “That isn’t true. I’m working my tail off to return to the field and help the Jets.”
By saying “no comment,” you really don’t discredit the story.
