Clearly, the signing by LaDaianian Tomlinson was a brilliant move by Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum and his staff.
“[Tomlinson] is still of the the best running backs in football,” Jets coach Rex Ryan said. “It was a huge pick up. (Jets GM) Mike Tannenbaum and his staff knew that LT was the man, and [Mike] deserved a lot of credit for us getting LT in here.
“[Tomlinson] is such a leader, too. When he speaks, everybody listens. They are just so into him. The whole team pulls for him. He really is a shot in the arm for us.”
