Denver – The Jets coaching staff deserves a ton of credit for their 31-21 win over Denver. It was the consummate team win with all three phases contributing.
But this was a Joe Douglas win as well.
Aside from coaching, the Jets beat the Broncos because they have a much better roster, thanks to their GM Douglas.
In some ways, you could call this “a talent win.”
The Jets roster is loaded right now thanks to Douglas and his staff. Denver’s roster is a mess, one of the worst in the NFL, thanks to some bad decision-making the last few years.
And the talent disparity was on display all afternoon, with the trenches, on both sides of the ball, being a perfect example. The Jets dominated this game in the trenches.
