Florham Park – I know it’s early.
The Jets have played only two games.
But you just get the sense that the hiring of Marty Mornhinweg was a good one move by Rex Ryan.
Over his close to 30 years in coaching, Mornhinweg has been around some pretty good offensive minds, including Andy Reid for 10 years in Philadelphia.
Mornhinweg has a fertile offensive mind and some pretty good instincts as a play-caller.
And on top of all that, he’s a former quarterback (at Montana and the Arena League), so has a good feel for the position, as a teacher and strategist.
Overall, Mornhinweg seems like the right guy at the right time for Jets’ offensive coordinator job.
