At the very least, quarterback David Garrard needs to be active next week.
He has yet to be active for a game.
Why?
Because Rex Ryan could end up losing the team if he continues to get the quarterback play he’s gotten the last three games.
It’s demoralizing the roster.
This isn’t NFL Europe.
This isn’t a developmental league.
You owe it to your roster to try to win each and every Sunday.
The Jets need a win in the worst way.
So if they start a young guy next week, and the anemic quarterback play continues, Garrard needs to be an option.
He’s played in 84 NFL games. He knows what he’s doing out there.
And the current QB play is sucking the life out of the locker room.
Ryan owes it to his team to at least have Garrard active next week.
