Florham Park – It’s no secret the Jets’ punt coverage has been a weakness in 2015.
In last two games, they gave up a touchdown to Philadelphia’s Darrin Sproles, and then got gashed by Miami’s Jarvis Landry, for a 22-yard average on three returns.
So Washington Redskins talented rookie punt returner Jamison Crowder could be a handful for them.
The Duke-product is one of those super-quick, low to the ground athletes, who can change direction effortlessly.
The Jets better get their act together, or they could have more problems this week.
“We need to get better at [punt coverage],” said Jets coach Todd Bowles. “We harped on it, we talked about it in meetings. We have to get a lot better at it if we want to go anywhere (moving) forward. We have to get a lot better.”
