This attack on Rodgers is a reach . . .

It’s well-documented that Jets QB Aaron Rodgers didn’t attend the Jets’ mandatory minicamp on June 11 and 12.

So when he showed up at a UFC event on Saturday in Las Vegas, this led to headlines like this . . .

Headline – “Aaron Rodgers posts photo from UFC 303 after skipping Jets minicamp.”

Headline – “Aaron Rodgers makes an appearance at UFC 303 amid Jets minicamp absence.”

Stories connecting Rodgers attending a UFC event on June 29 to him missing a camp over two weeks ago are somewhat foolish.

Whether you think his absence from the minicamp for a trip overseas was okay or not, the idea that he’s not supposed to go to a UFC Event 17 days after the minicamp wrapped up, is a reach.

Since he missed the minicamp, is he supposed to stay holed up at home until the Jets’ training camp starts in late July for optic reasons?

How stupid is that?

People are reaching for stuff now to make him look bad.
