Brian Costello had a good article today reviewing the Jets’ GM Candidates.
When writing about Giants college scouting director Marc Ross, Costello wrote, “The Jets would gain some instant credibility by bringing over someone from the Giants.”
Why do the Jets need somebody from the crosstown Giants to gain “credibility?”
The Jets are constantly trying to get out of the Giants’ shadow, so how would hiring an executive, from their front office, help them in that regard?
Especially since Giants executives have insulted the Jets in the media, and on twitter, the last couple of years.
Ross is likely going to end up in Carolina with the Panthers, so this could be a moot point.
But it’s probably not a great idea to hire somebody from the Giants at this point.
It’s just not.
This would only increase the shadow.
