This player looks like he could be a gem

It’s early, but it would be surprising if this player doesn’t turn out being real good for Gang Green.

Talking about Jets rookie receiver Elijah Moore, their 2021 second-round pick out of Ole Miss.

In their first practice of training camp on Wednesday, Moore had a couple of impressive receptions for nice gains.

“He had a couple of good plays today,” said Jets coach Robert Saleh. “He walks in the building, you’d think he’d been in this building 10 years. He asks all the right questions, he’s putting in the work. He is an impressive young man. I’m excited to see him grow.”

One thing the Jets loved about Moore in the draft, that you’ve seen in the spring, and on the first day of camp, is he flashes open a lot, with his elite route-running ability and rare short-area quickness.

“We thought he was one of the best in the country at creating separation,” Jets Director of Football Analytics Brian Shields told the team’s website in an exclusive interview.

“He has elite route-running quickness and separation ability,” Jets scout Dom Green also told the team’s website. “The guy’s a play-maker.”
