Not many people would have said this entering the season . . .

San Francisco defensive end Nick Bosa threw shade at the Jets when talking about 49ers Week 2 opponent, the Minnesota Vikings.

“This week I think we’re playing a better — honestly, a better team,” Bosa said on Wednesday. “They’re playing better football it looks like. They run the ball well and we’re gonna have to do better in our techniques. We kind of got away with some things last week. So, we have to hone in and not pat ourselves on the back.”

Not many people entering the season felt the Vikings were a better team than the Jets.

The Jets have a stronger roster and a better QB situation.

In Week 1, the Vikings blew out the New York Giants, but some would argue that praising the Vikings too much based on that win, might be premature. The Giants don’t seem to be a very good team.

But based on how the Jets played on defense in Week 1 against the 49ers, especially against the run where they put forth a troubling display, some might argue, right now, the Vikings are better.

We will certainly find out on October 6th which team is better when the Jets play the Vikings.

But somebody even saying the Vikings, who are being quarterbacked by Jets castoff Sam Darnold, are better than the Jets, should be another wake-up call to the Jets to get their act together.

Because it would be hard to find many people on the planet who thought the Vikings were better than the Jets entering the season.
