I went over the transcript of Rex’s Monday press conference.
I was looking for some quotes I could use to use to write a football story.
I couldn’t find any.
Rex sounded like Bobby Heenan promoting one of his wrestlers.
There is a method to his madness. We all get that. He wants to take the pressure off his players, and put it on himself.
And for the people who don’t want to write about real football, the rhetoric makes for an easy column.
But most of the questions and answers today from Florham Park didn’t deal with the issues that will impact the result of Sunday’s game.
However, I’m sure Hacksaw Jim Duggan or Randy Orton enjoyed the presser.
